It is fine to use with your SSD. What you are thinking of is that you aren't supposed to defragment your SSD. However, there are people who argue that it is worth the write cycles to your SSD because it does improve performance.
I don't really know what is what, but both sides of the arugment have plenty of support. Nobody who's worth anything argues that defragmenting an SSD improves it's performance.
